Linda is constantly researching trips, days out and holidays, some of which she finds at short notice and some which require extensive planning.
Because she has to rely on uptake from members, there will be times when an event is cancelled if not enough people want to go.
This makes producing a definitive list of future plans impossible, so Linda communicates with members by email, giving them full details about what is coming up.

ALL TRAVEL TRIPS ARE FOR U3A MEMBERS ONLY. MEMBERS TRAVEL AT THEIR OWN RISK AND MUST ADHERE TO THE u3a RULES.
The availability of trips can be subject to a number of factors, some often not defined until the day of event. These can include the number of passengers, coach availability, parking within the location, and so on.
So only having one coach on a trip depends upon the suitability of the venue. Space for coaches is often limited and the volume of people can cause queues for coffee shops and restrooms. This has previously led to people missing their tour times.
Members are responsible for their own health and safety and for ensuring plenty of time to arrive for boarding the coach at the designated pick up point. If a member misses the coach, it will be down to them to get themselves back home at their own expense.
The only exception would be in the case of a medical emergency.
Any features which may impair access will be explained in the trip details, whenever possible. These might include stairs or getting on and off a boat, for example.
Members are encouraged to carry a mobile phone, fully charged and to be in possession of the Group Leader's mobile phone number.
